What is it about?
This review sought to provide preliminary evidence for the use of active rehabilitation as a potential treatment for Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) symptoms by evaluating the effect reported in similar neurodegenerative tau pathologies. This included Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Lewy Body dementia, Frontotemporal degeneration/dementia, and Corticobasal degeneration.

Why is it important?
This review provided evidence and rationale for why the positive effect observed across other neurodegernative tau pathologies can also be expected for individuals living with CTE symptoms. This is important because, at present, there is no evidence based treatment for Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) symptoms.
