What is it about?

Voluntary Male Medical Circumcision (VMMC) is an HIV prevention strategy that has been adopted in several countries. However, the expansion of this strategy has resulted in quality gaps that require urgent interventions. Continuous quality improvement (CQI) has been implemented as a key intervention strategy. But, there has been little focus on the changes in quality of services across all quality standards after implementing quality improvement support.

Why is it important?

Understanding the impact of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) on the quality of Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) services is crucial for improving VMMC demand and health outcomes. Poor quality of VMMC services can lead to negative health consequences, making it essential to evaluate the effect of CQI support on service quality. This research study is significant as it assesses changes in VMMC service quality after CQI support and provides insights to enhance current VMMC intervention strategies.
