What is it about?
One of the main challenges related to distance education is preserving the academic integrity of student assessments. We propose a new method to detect potential cases of cheating on the final exam. We approach this task as an outlier detection problem using deep learning.

Why is it important?
The lack of direct supervision by instructors during final examinations poses a significant risk of academic misconduct. Numerical experiments show that the proposed method achieves a remarkably high level of accuracy.
