What is it about?
The goal of this study is to identify whether an intelligence test (the International Cognitive Ability Resource) and the most popular measure of creativity (the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking) measure the same trait or whether they measure correlated but different traits.

Why is it important?
Psychologists have known for over 50 years that creativity and intelligence are positively correlated. But the nature of the relationship between the two is highly disputed. One possible reason this is not clear may be due to the tests used to measure creativity. Intelligence researchers state that every task that requires cognition (e.g., decision making, logic) measures intelligence to some extent. I designed this study to help determine whether the TTCT is partially (or completely) a measure of intelligence. If it is, then it might indicate that scores from the TTCT are confounded with IQ.
