What is it about?

This is study about survival of MDR-TB patients who were commenced on second-line ATI-TB drugs. Though a progress has been made in combating the burden of multi-drug resistance tuberculosis (MDR-TB), it remained the major public health threat. This study found 11% of deaths with the overall incidence density of death was 11.99, 95% CI [7.89–18.21] per 100,000person-year.

The study is about to show the impact of MDR-TB in LMICs. It could have a critical implication to drew the attention of researchers, policy makers and funding agencies.
