What is it about?

Longitudinal data are essential to give hints on prognostic evaluation in almost all field of medicine. The present work illustrates a sequence of analytical approaches and criteria to face with the several aspects that a given project on prognostic assessment poses while showing its implementation in the attempt to investigate the short and long term outcome of a cohort of patients affected by severe acquired brain injury. The procedure are detailed in the appendix to help readers to implement.

Why is it important?

We devised a road map that merge several algorithms, tests and criteria with in mind the goal to satisfy the clinical query by employing a procedure easily available to researchers and accurate enough to uncover hidden aspect of the data.

Perspectives

I hope this work will help researchers in the attempt to find an optimal way to analyze their data for prognostic evaluation.
