What is it about?
Career Calling is the psychological construct that used to explain an approach to work characterized by deep, pervasive, and transcendent involvement with the work domain. We propose and validate a scale to measure it. Differently from other existing measures, the UMCS measures more components of calling and can be used to compare individuals across time and work domains.

Why is it important?
Methodologically sound scales are critical both for research and practice, because empirical support demonstrate that they measure what they are intended to measure, and they do so with little error.
