What is it about?

To boost Covid-19 vaccine uptake especially in vulnerable subgroups like pregnant women who face more morbid disease compared to non pregnant counterparts a sufficient knowledge, positive attitudes are inevitable as it provides dural advantage to both mother and newborns.

Why is it important?

The study showed Covid-19 vaccine poor knowledge, negative attitude which have lead to lower acceptance rates, while disinformation appears to be a factor, we suggest an active concerted channel(s) that can communicate effectively on potential information on robost protection that's offered by the vaccine.

Perspectives

Covid-19 vaccine offers a ray of hope for the future. It provides herd immunity to the society. Therefore pregnant women including other non pregnant peers have to be educated via different channels to erode mistrust in health system.
