What is it about?
We examine barriers to community engagement experienced by green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) professionals, which phases include public participation, the groups they target, and the engagement mechanisms selected. We also explore how professionals evaluated their engagement processes or outcomes.

Why is it important?
Few studies have investigated the prevalence of community-engaged GSI projects, and the current community engagement literature lacks evidence-based guidance specific to GSI development. Additionally, there is a significant gap in research that evaluates community engagement processes or outcomes in water management.
