What is it about?

This descriptive study measures the differences existing in a group of different professionals working in emergency services in a Spanish sample (nurses, medical staff, administrative staff and assistants). The variables measured are: workplace violence, burnout, engagement, job satisfaction and general health. It was observed that there are differences between them and that they are not on equal terms. Administrative staff suffer greater non-physical violence from users, while nursing assistants show higher levels of engagement. In terms of job satisfaction, nurses report greater intrinsic satisfaction, while doctors, nurses and nursing assistants show higher levels of extrinsic satisfaction compared to administrative and medical staff.
