Why is it important?
INHABIT is a truly unique resource for invasive species managers across the United States. This is the first instance of research-grade species distribution models disseminated to managers based on their priorities and management needs.
Perspectives
I had the pleasure of co-authoring this article alongside research colleagues and land management professionals. This balance of voices allowed greater perspective on the implications and future directions for this webtool. Because INHABIT is constantly adapting and improving to meet to user needs, I encourage readers to visit the website regularly to see what's new! But the inspiration for INHABIT, as captured in the article, remains true as ever.
