What is it about?
Free-ranging chickens exposed to the pesticide DDT had several changes in the genetic material in their livers. These changes were related to immunity and metabolism. Although the chickens didn't show any obvious signs of illness, there were significant changes in their genetic make-up associated with exposure to the pesticide.
