What is it about?
This article examines the changes Flaubert introduces in retelling the medieval legend of St Julian the Hospitaller, particularly as this regards the sexual body. It is argued that the queer effects of Flaubert’s modifications are felt throughout his version of the legend and extend to the process of rewriting itself.
