What is it about?

Broader representation about consensual non-monogamy (CNM) is needed, especially as interest in CNM relationships is on the rise. The article discusses consensual non-monogamy depicted in the HBO hit series Insecure. The article aims to dispel myths about CNM relationships and discuss the importance of representation of CNM in Black relationships.

The aim is to dispel myths and stereotypes about consensual non-monogamy and highlight the importance of representation in Black media.

Perspectives

I had a great time writing this article. I enjoy Insecure as a television show and writing this article gave me the opportunity to discuss the literature on consensual non-monogamy through the use of popular culture.
