Why is it important?

Broadcast radio - and in particular speech radio - is a much underused and undervalued CPD medium. Used judiciously, it can readily augment listeners' lifelong learning. Alerting readers to this possibility, as well as suggesting ways in which they can do this, are two important features of the paper. (While the paper is aimed at health professionals, it's also worth noting that it's underlying premise may be useful to anyone engaged in CPD, irrespective of their profession.)

Perspectives

Speech radio is wonderful! What more can I say? In the words of Lord Reith, "to educate, inform and entertain".
