What is it about?
The 1967 Abortion Act is 50 years old this year, but very little has changed. However, Minister for Women and Equalities, Justine Greening, has proposed allowing women who travel from Northern Ireland (which has some of the most restrictive abortion laws in Europe) to the rest of the UK should received the same free care. While this is hugely significant for the hundreds of Northern Irish women who travel to the UK at great personal expense, this editorial explored the work left to do.
