What is it about?
There is a high demand for mental health services in the UK and registered mental health nurses are key to the successful and effective delivery of these services. However, mental health nursing vacancies are high. To grow this workforce we need to understand the rewards and challenges of being part of the UK's mental health nursing workforce and identify how the worklives and wellbeing of these nurses might be improved. We present a protocol for a national survey of the UK's mental health nursing workforce which ran from October 2023 to January 2024.
