What is it about?
The World Health Organization has developed a fungal priority pathogens list to increase awareness of the growth of antimicrobial resistance amongst commonly prescribed anti-fungal preparations. There is a need for heightened vigilance on the appropriate use and stewardship of common anti-fungal medications to prevent avoidable morbidity and mortality.

Why is it important?
The review is part of a continuing professional development series for independent non-medical prescribers and includes pharmacological and reflective questions. Completing the activities will support demonstrating competency and professional revalidation.
