What is it about?
Training ambulance clinicians to move patients who can't move themselves can be tricky but it is very important. We took a group of students to a soft play area so that they could practice moving patients using the correct equipment and techniques around many different obstacles - and it was done in such a way that injuries were very unlikely!

Why is it important?
No-one has ever tried this before and we wanted to know what students thought about it. We found that students were highly satisfied with what they were able to practice in this new environment. We also found that they felt bonded by the teamwork they needed to engage in.
