What is it about?

By investigating the potential benefits of personalized music, PCMusic, during leg ulcer dressing changes, we aim to contribute to improving patient care and comfort during medical procedures. This study has the potential to provide valuable insights into the role of music in pain management and patient well-being.

Why is it important?

Our findings show that PCMusic treatments had the lowest scores and qualitative data showed that both patient and LPNs found that PCMusic decreased pain during dressing change.

Perspectives

The use of music interventions in healthcare settings has shown promising benefits for patient well-being and treatment outcomes. However, to fully understand and utilize these interventions, more rigorous research and standardization are needed. Hopefully, this article will shed light on the area of music in healthcare.
