What is it about?
Wound treatment is one of the medical challenges, and many efforts have been made to find new methods and compounds to accelerate wound healing. Among these compounds are plant products, and many studies have been conducted on these substances. In this research, the therapeutic effects of the gum obtained from the Dorema ammoniacum on wound healing in laboratory animals were investigated.

Why is it important?
The present study showed that the topical use of Dorema ammoniacum gum significantly increases the percentage of wound healing in rats and reduces the wound closure time. Our findings showed that with further studies, this gum has the potential to be used in wound healing in the future.
