Why is it important?

Nosocomial wounds can be a source of sepsis and pain.

Perspectives

It is important to get this information published in order to inform manufacturers of the need for improved urinary catheter securements. The team work and care in the surgical ICU as well as the assistance of the co-authors was incredible. I hope this article results in more research and development in the area of tube securement for acutely ill patients.
