What is it about?
Pressure ulcers, which used to be called bed sores or pressure sores, have been around for centuries. Finding new ways to prevent them is challenging and using technology to improve care is not always the first choice. This work compares using a flow diagram for equipment choice or a non-invasive sensor device on the heels and sacral area to see if either could help improve care and prevent pressure ulcers developing. The outcomes show the benefits of considering technological answers to healthcare problems.
