We provide formulas for the expected waiting time of vehicles and for the expected length of queues at traffic lights

Why is it important?
There where no formulas derived in probabilistic terms, before. Only heuristic formulas that performed badly in some cases.
Perspectives
This is for use by traffic engineers, as a tool to compute simple performance measures of intersections in urban traffic
