What is it about?

This article aims to identify emerging capabilities for formation of competences. Specifically, it seeks to understand how small businesses reorganize strategies in the face of adversity. In this study, we observed the strategic redirection of a small business, providing services in foreign trade. The period under study was marked by great changes in the profile of its customers, the majority member of the leather-footwear industry, where companies have risen to export markets through differentiation.

Why is it important?

The company studied began operating as logistics operator, triggering changes in their skills. The choice was because it was a case of transformation within a cluster threatened by foreign competitors and the accessibility of information from one of the authors.
