What is it about?

We changed the way some of our work was delivered in the on-line space, and reorganised the sequence of topics, and created some pre and post lecture activities. The content was unchanged and we still largely kept the lecture/tutorial format.

Why is it important?

Students move seamlessly between the on-line environment and the real world for learning

Perspectives

This publication shows that rethinking why and how we teach can have a big impact and yet not take a huge amount of time.

We should be designing with the learner in mind. The challenge is to design a learning pathway that incorporates meaningful interactivity between the learner and the teacher; the learner and the online content and activities; and the learner and other learners. This focused interaction is critical to the success of the learner experience and will ultimately influence the efficacy of the learning environment.
