What is it about?

Age-related hearing loss or presbycusis is the one of the most common disorder among the elderly population. In this study we will show by using special rehabilitation training program part of speech in noise problems with presbycusis probably will be restored.

We attempt to prove despite common consideration that age-related hearing is permanent by special rehabilitation training part of speech in noise perception problems of presbycusis will be reestablish.

Perspectives

Age-related hearing loss or presbycusis is the second most common illness next to arthritis in elderly population. The world's older population continues to grow very fast in both developing and developed regions as a result the impact of presbycusis on quality and quantity life of old population become even more crucial. The first and the most common characteristic with presbycusis is deterioration in speech-understanding and speech-perception difficulties in noisy environments. We hope this pilot study lead to new ways that how to approach and manage age-related hearing loss.
