What is it about?
The knowledge of management algorithms for cardiorespiratory arrest among health workers is of utmost importance, however, the result of cardiopulmonary resuscitation has remained deficient. Therefore, in the present study the time of the retention of theoretical knowledge and the practical skills of the postgraduate doctors of the areas after receiving theoretical and practical training was examined.

Why is it important?
This is the first study of this kind in Ecuador. It is of paramount importance, since it is evaluated in students who receive ACLS training in their curricular mesh, and yet we observe short retention of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. In other postgraduate courses in our country, this training is not received, so it would be necessary to extend the study to those who have not received the course to compare the result in terms of knowledge retention and practical skills.
