Why is it important?
Drowning is a silent killer in Nepal and this cause of death is often neglected because it has very short gap between the risk exposure and death. Non-fatal drowning are not considered as illness so it remains unknown - how many people were exposed to risk. Our finding shows that drowning death occur year round and throughout the country. It might help researchers interested in the field of drowning studies.
