What is it about?
This is a meta-analysis update of the Mossbridge' et al one, related to the physiological differential anticipation of future stimuli with different arousal value presented in a random way and hence statistically unpredictable.

Why is it important?
It is important because it confirms Mossbridge's et al. results, that is that our physiological reactions (e.g. Heart rate, EEG, etc.) seem to anticipate (predict) the type of stimuli that will be presented even if their presentation is statistically unpredictable. This phenomenon suggest that at an unconscious level, our body is able to anticipate (predict) what will happen in the near future.
Perspectives
Given that the evidence fot this phenomenon looks quite strong, it is now possible to devise more sophisticated algorithm in order to increase the prediction at a level of single trials opening the possibility to devise practical applications like Decision Support Systems.
