What is it about?

We used geographic analysis of neighboring COVID19 hotspots to demonstrate transmission of infections between these locations. This can identify rapidly increasing locations where COVID infections are occurring, in some cases, earlier than reported in the media or by government authorities

Why is it important?

This did not require manual contact traciing and if implemented could reduce public health burdens of COVID-19.

Perspectives

It was remarkable to see the time sequences of neighboring apartment buildings (Figure 8) becoming hotspots of COVID presumably by interactions between residents of those buildings.
