What is it about?

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common complication in hospitalized patients. The syndrome is associated with an increased morbidity and mortality. In this review, we discuss measures to Prevent and treat AKI. Preventive measures should be implemented in high Risk patients for AKI which can be identified by biomarkers.
