What is it about?

Corporate Real Estate Management is the management of a corporation’s real estate portfolio by aligning the portfolio and services to the needs of the core business, in order to obtain maximum added value for the business and to contribute optimally to the overall performance of the corporation. This book chapter discusses how shifts in the business environment impacts the need for more strategic levels of corporate real estate management. It builds on the work by Michael Joroff et al. and their report on Corporate Real Estate as the Fifth Resource. The authors added a sixth step to CRE Maturity model by emphasizing the importance of connecting different disciplines and to balance between business and end user perspectives.
