What is it about?
This book reflects my experience teaching cybersecurity in an HEI over the last few decades. With feedback from many students, I was able to compile in this document the set of concepts, principles and experiences that proved to be effective in carrying out initial cybersecurity tasks in the organizations that received these students.

Why is it important?
Cybersecurity, as a profession, is in its origins. There still needs to be defined careers, and many proposals for study programs available are apparently disconnected but point to the same set of skills. The tasks required of those responsible for cybersecurity in organizations are complex and require extensive training. The approach in this book provides a consolidated and robust path to a set of skills that allows the reader to establish a profession in this area.
