What is it about?

1. This is a prestack depth migration (PSDM) case study in which negative values of seismic anisotropy parameters (delta and epsilon) were required to achieve reasonable depthing and gather flatness. 2. Azimuthal migration velocity variation was also present. 3. These observations are consistent with stress-induced anisotropy predicted by Walton model.

Why is it important?

The case study demonstrates that negative values of seismic anisotropy parameters (delta and epsilon) is sometimes possible.
