What is it about?
In the Deepwater, drilling for Oil and Gas traps is intricate mission specially at frontier salt basins. Several , hazards and challenges can be eradicated by utilizing this new model. It is depth dependent and seismic complicated processing are not needed. Moreover, this model estimates the powerful salt creep as a principal stress in the subsurface pressure profile. This is very helpful in predicting hazardous pressure pockets that leads to blow outs and the offshore fires that cause human lives.

Why is it important?
It is important, because this model is completely different than the conventional method. These methods use the overburden (gravity driven weight) as principal stress. This novel new one is utilizing the salt tectonic as the cause of Subsurface Pressure Profile Drifts.
