What is it about?

The Structural Index is a fundamental parameter of almost all gravity or magnetic depth estimation methods. Its important to understand what it is and how to use it.

Why is it important?

If you assume an SI (implicitly or explicitly) without some thought, your depth estimates are likely to be significantly biased, shallow or deep.
