What is it about?
Accurate seismic horizon tracking plays a fundamental role in oil and gas exploration, while traditional manual tracking methods are labor-intensive. We propose a fully automatic horizon tracking algorithm that can extract all horizons from seismic data in one pass, ensuring precise phase consistency while demonstrating outstanding performance in handling faults, unconformities, and intrusive bodies.

Why is it important?
1. Fully automatic 3D seismic horizon extraction – enabling efficient and high-precision automated picking 2. Peak/trough-based propagation algorithm ensures phase-consistent horizon tracking 3. Robust performance in complex geology: Horizons accurately traverse faults and intrusions while automatically terminating at unconformity boundaries
Perspectives
This work holds significant potential for further refinement and is poised to evolve into a highly practical and efficient professional tool.
