This is an assessment of the psychometric properties of the Malay version of SF-36 (Malay SF-36) summated rating scales and validating the scale among post-coronary artery bypass grafting surgery (CABG) patients at the National Heart Institute (IJN), Kuala Lumpur.

Why is it important?
SF-36 is an important instrument in measuring the quality of life of patients. It is used widely but since the Malay language is the main lingua franca in this country, and with the increasing use of this questionnaire in assessing the quality of life of patients, we feel the need to validate this questionnaire.
