What is it about?
Many people with chronic breathlessness present to the emergency department. We did a survey to find out how many and to understand more about what led to the presentation.

Why is it important?
It is important to know how many people are presenting to the ED because of breathlessness so that we can work on ways to reduce presentations to already busy EDs when it is not in the best interests of the patients.
Perspectives
We need to understand the scale of the problem and why people present to the ED due to breathlessness so that we can find better ways of supporting people living with this burdensome symptom.
