What is it about?
While it is recognized that bullying is experienced in a relationship of power imbalance, we still do not understand how to accurately measure power imbalance experienced by children who are bullied. This research contributed to understanding the nature and measurement of power imbalance experienced by children aged 8-12 in Australia.

Why is it important?
The characteristics that children associated with social power are neutral. these included appearance, athleticism and being clever. It is the status that children attribute to these characteristics that confers power.
