What is it about?
I have applied integrated analysis of gene expression and DNA methylation and identified genes associated with differential gene expression and DNA methylation between distinct castes of social insects.

Why is it important?
It is important to identify what cases distinct phenotype between organisms sharing same genome sequence. Castes of social insects are typical examples of distinct phenotype with sharing common genome. DNA methylation seems to be a factor that contribute to distinct castes.
