What is it about?

This is a protocol for a four arm randomised control trial which aimed to see if a) a short, or extended brief intervention can change alcohol use compared to a control, b) to understand the rates of recruitment and retention using online methods, and other feasibility (can we conduct the trial) issues c) to understand the barriers and facilitators of behaviour change in hazardous drinkers in the UK context

Why is it important?

This is important as it sets out what we plan to do before we conduct the trial to minimise selective reporting and changing the outcome after the trial has started. The write up is still ongoing (and a little behind schedule due to job changes in the research team).
