We compared the bacterial and fungal communities in different locations of the respiratory tract of people with and without tuberculosis.

Why is it important?
The microbial communities of the oropharynx were slightly different between healthy controls and tuberculosis patients and can thus be further used to identify possible associations with tuberculosis disease.
