What is it about?
ChIP-seq is a method widely used for identifying where transcription factors (TFs) bind to the genome. If you have two different ChIP-seq experiments for the same TF, you can use CentriMo in differential mode to compare them. This can for example test whether a specific motif is really specific to a given set of binding sites.

Why is it important?
Identifying where TFs bind is important for understanding genomic regulation. TFs regulate transcription, the first step in creating proteins.
