What is it about?
The research summarised in this article was presented in six sessions at the European Respiratory Society (ERS) congress in 2018. The conference brings together respiratory clinicians and researchers to present the latest clinical innovations and research pertaining to respiratory diseases. Cutting edge research relating to the genetic basis of respiratory diseases, the epidemiology of respiratory diseases and occupational and environmental influences on respiratory diseases are discussed. Additionally, trends in tobacco consumption, e-cigarettes and smoking cessation are explored.
