What is it about?
One of the keys of tuberculosis treatment success is observance which is limited by the lenght of this treatment (6 months). We set-up in a mouse model a simplified treatement that needs to be given only once-a-week instead of once-a-day. This treatment appeared to be as active as the standard daily treatment.

Why is it important?
If this result is confirmed in human, it could greatly simplify tuberculosis treatement and increase observance by reducing the number of days of drug intake from 182 to 26.
