Why is it important?

The paper reports on baseline characteristics, including comorbidities, diagnostic procedures and quality of life. The authors further provide data on mortality outcomes, with a 4-year mortality rate of 44%, associations of baseline pulmonary function data to mortality and the significant, positive impact of anti-fibrotic therapy on survival.
