What is it about?
The use of the diagnostic test Peptest to show that Pepsin is present in expectorated saliva in patients with chronic cough attending Europe's leading cough specialists (Alyn Morice at Castle Hill Hospital). This shows that reflux of gastroc contents is involved in the aetiology of chronic cough in those patients in which the test was positive
