Atopobium and Fusobacterium as novel candidates for sarcoidosis-associated microbiota

What is it about?

This study is about the sarcoidosis lung microbiota. It is a metagenome study which compares the sarcoidosis microbiota with healthy and diseased controls. The microbial composition differed significantly between sarcoidosis samples and controls and for radiographic Scadding types. Knowledge about changes in sarcoidosis microbiota may enable new insights into the pathogenesis and treatment of the disease.
